In creating our Strategic Mindset leadership program we looked carefully at the research on successful strategy execution for leaders, and found that a differentiating factor for effectiveness is not just the application of strategic THINKING, but strategic MINDSET.

From Wikipedia: Strategic thinking is defined as a mental or thinking process applied by an individual in the context of achieving a goal or set of goals in a game or other endeavor. As a cognitive activity, it produces thought.

So what is the difference between Strategic Thinking and Strategic Mindset?

Mindset refers to the powerful point of view we bring to the table. Are we open? Oriented towards growth? Do you have a growth mindset or a fixed mindset? Are you here to learn and develop or do you believe that preserving the status quo is your most important job?

We believe Strategic Mindset is built from a set of four capabilities based on original research into Business Acumen:  Mindset, Foresight, Broad Scanning, and Strategic Alignment.
